Some good advice is found in this attachment, especially the second rule of "Keep it Simple." As a digital scrapbooker, I LOVE embellishments. Some of the pages I do get pretty full of designs and pictures.

The website is very interesting Arene, not only that you can find the "3 rules for better PowerPoint presentation", but also you can navigate on the website and find a lot more information. That will definetely be a good font to research from it.
